DESCRIPTION:Our kitchen garden is a hugely valued part of the farm – it’s where children staying with us experience first hand the joy of sowing\, growing\, and trying food directly from the ground. There is such satisfaction in getting your hands in the soil\, sowing some seeds\, and seeing what grows. \nMarch is such an exciting month\, anticipating the season to come\, with it comes lots of prep! \nIf you would like to lend a helping hand we will be: \n\nPreparing the beds with fresh manure and soil\nWood chipping the paths\nRe-netting the fruit cage\nCleaning the polytunnel\nWeeding (always weeding…)\nWeaving in the living willow fence\nSowing our first crop of seeds!\n\nHot drinks\, biscuits\, and pasties provided. Take some seeds of your own to plant at home! \nWaterproofs and wellies available to borrow at request\, please wear and bring lots of layers to stay warm.
