DESCRIPTION:Become a citizen scientist with Shallowford Farm\, Butterfly Conservation\, and Bug Life! \nHelp us protect the Marsh Fritillary butterfly on Dartmoor. \nOne of Britain’s most threatened butterflies lives on Dartmoor. We need your help to protect it. East Shallowford Farm is running a volunteer monitoring programme across 8 sites along the River Webburn – and we’re looking for 20 eager citizen scientists to join us. \nWhat’s involved:  \n\nIntroductions over tea and coffee\nPresentation on the Marsh Frittilary Butterfly and how we survey them.\nHead out on site to put your new skills into practice.\nSign up for survey days in August and early September to survey the 8 farms across the River Webburn.\nAll training and equipment will be provided.\n\nYou’ll need to be: \n\nAged 16 or over\nReasonably physically fit and stable on your feet\nAvailable on weekdays for survey days.
