Volunteer Day – Hedge planting

There are approximately half a million miles of hedgerow in the UK, on Dartmoor they are partly responsible for turning the land into the marvellous mosaic that’s so iconic. They are a hugely beneficial boundary, providing dynamic habitats for wildlife at a landscapes scale that connects across our countryside.
Join us to learn how to plant hedges in this ancient landscape, and spend a day reconnecting this invaluable network on Shallowford Farm.
Hot drinks, biscuits, and pasties provided.
Waterproofs and wellies available to borrow at request, please wear and bring lots of layers to stay warm.
