Bird Painting Volunteer Day

The dawn chorus at Shallowford farm is beautifully cacophonous. However catching a glimpse of these merry song makers is surprisingly hard!
To help the young people learn to identify the birds they are sharing the farm with we want to install painted versions of common avian visitors around the farm. We are blessed with many different species, so there is much to paint!
No need to be a pro painter – the birds will be predesigned in a “paint by numbers” style.
Come along for a bit of meditative crafting, a good chat with fellow volunteers, and go home with that happy fuzzy feeling you get from knowledge shared.
