Summer Coffee Morning

June 12 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Come along to our Summer Coffee Morning – with a very special twist this time.

As well as the usual chance to meet the team, connect with fellow volunteers and find out how to get involved at the farm, we’re heading out onto our rhos pasture for a guided butterfly tour.

The Marsh Fritillary is one of Britain’s most threatened butterflies – and East Shallowford Farm is home to one of its last strongholds on Dartmoor. June is the perfect time to spot them in flight, and this is a rare opportunity to see the habitat up close and learn about the citizen science monitoring programme we’re launching this summer.

Whether you’re interested in volunteering, curious about citizen science, or you just fancy a morning on the farm with good company, you’re very welcome.

Volunteering opportunities at Shallowford include regular gardening club, citizen science, supporting farm events, community volunteer days, skill sharing and more.

Even if you just fancy a cuppa, you are welcome to spend time with us.
