For 5 days at the end of January we hunkered down and enjoyed that wonderful silence that comes with the snow. It was so beautiful, so quiet and so annoying!!! It must be my age – love it for a day and then – lets just get on!!!! Many parts of the moor suffered from a mass influx of visitorsthat blocked most access roads and then left behind them sack loads of rubbish – why?! Fortunately no one made it past our entrance save a couple of tractors.
